As a franchisee candidate, we ask you to complete our Request for Consideration form and to be as detailed as possible about you or your partner's restaurant owner/operator background.
Upon our receipt of your Request for Consideration, we will immediately contact you to discuss your interest, experience and market. Once we have had the opportunity to address your questions or concerns and you are ready to explore this opportunity further, we may ask you to complete and submit the franchise application for review by the Schlotzsky's Franchise Review Committee.
After an initial discussion and receipt of a completed Request for Consideration form, you'll be contacted by one of our Regional Franchise Sales Directors who will discuss this information with you, as well as your development plans. The Director may request a face-to-face meeting in your market at this time.
Once we have met with you and confirmed your interest in becoming a Schlotzsky's® franchisee, you will be provided with our Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) to review. This document will explain, in detail, the bakery café franchise offering. We ask that you review this document for 10 business days, as required by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and conduct your due diligence about our company during that time.
You'll also be asked to join us at our Very Important Bunz day to get further insight of our franchise process and take part in our fun, quirky culture! At the VIB, you will meet with our Senior Executive Team and learn all about the services we provide our franchisees including training, marketing, real estate and construction services, and on-going support. You will get a behind the scenes look to see why Schlotzsky's is All ‘Round Lotz Better!
When the Franchise Review Committee has approved your application, you will be sent the franchise agreements you are required to sign. An exact copy of these agreements was incorporated in the FDD for your earlier review. Once we have received the signed agreements with the franchise fee and all necessary documentation, we will countersign your agreements and send you a copy.
Once all of the agreements are executed, you are now officially part of the Schlotzsky's bakery café franchise. Our Franchise Services Team will begin working with you to find, develop and show you how to open your Schlotzsky's quick service restaurant as quickly as possible.
